This family owned restaurant is a Newtown gem. I was there for a friend's Birthday party and the food was delicious. It was the best Italian food I've ever had. It was so good that I took my daughter there 2 days later for her Birthday lunch & she felt the same way!! The staff is so friendly & go above and beyond to make sure your visit is exceptional.

Celebrating day 3 of Heather's Birthday, only another 47 days to go.... We enjoyed our Favorite restaurant where the food and service are always Amazing...Thank you Nancy and Crescenzo for always making us feel like family enjoying our dinner in our own home. My lady had the Pollo Sorrentine and I indulged in one of the specials of the evening, Vitello Rolitini... both of our meals were spectacular and of course we had to start off with our go to Caesar salad and Clams Casino... we finished off with Nancy bringing out her mother's Almond Tiramisu for Heather 's birthday celebration song. God how it must feel to be 21 again.. Happy birthday again Baby, Love You

This place reminded me of an Italian restaurant that I've seen on TV show. The place had pictures of the family and friends who visited the restaurant. The tables are spaced enough for you to move about the restaurant. The food we'll I'm giving it 5 stars and 5 thumbs up . We will visit it again so we can see brother #V again.

Reminded me of the small rustic restaurants in Italy. Friendly staff. The owner was very nice and down to earth. Generous with the wine. The marinated carrot appetizer given for free tasted like a lovely mix of olive oil, garlic and parsley. Refreshing. Bread was soft and had the crunchy exterior. Perfect for soaking up any leftover sauce and oils. The purse pockets ( have another name I believe, but couldn't remember) were amazing. Great blend of pear, ricotta and the sauce was creamy, but light. A little bit of crunch with the walnuts. The pollo Anna was good. Has a strong flavor from the legit prosciutto. If you've ever had store brand and legit prosciutto you'll understand what I mean. The sautéed spinach was delicious. The salad was a light and tasty combo of oil, soft goat cheese, honey, celery, shallots? and arugula. Unfortunately the celery seemed like it was turning black and still used. Either way never had that combo and enjoyed. Italian sausage reminded me of my uncles sausage that he would cook in the summer. Great flavor. Overall plates were clean. Oh and don't forget the limoncello cake Loved it. Overall recommend.

We really enjoyed the calamari fritti and thought the roasted jalapenos were a great added touch. Being a gnocchi-lover, my girlfriend really enjoyed the gorgonzola. The manager offered us a carrot dish to mix with the house bread, which was delicious. The veal donatella came with crabmeat side that I really enjoyed. Happy we made a reservation as it was starting to get packed for dinner.

If you are like me and grew up in an Italian household where grandma made Sunday sauce or maybe you are looking for some good homemade sauce but don't have the time to make it yourself - I found the next best. If you are in the Newtown, Bucks County, Pa area the place to go and get your jar of homemade sauce is at Pasquale's Vecchia Osteria or his Aqua e Farina, both on Richboro Road in Newtown. Pasquale's food and sauce has always been raved about - whether the Chicken Parm or a good pasta dish - the sauce is everything. He has now jarred his recipe and sells it in his restaurants. You don't have to believe me, but believe your taste buds.... Have a meal first, fall in love with the sauce & then get some while heading out the door... You will come back for more.... Ciao my friends.

I am a lover of Italian. I enjoy pretty much any Italian dish and revel in finding a new spot I had yet to discover. This past Sunday, we checked out Osteria. Tucked in the back of parking lot the tiny eatery offers indoor and outdoor dining. The staff warm an inviting. Despite my server reminding me of the villain in the current book I am reading; his service was on point. The meals were served hot and promptly, but lacked the umph that we were expecting. They fell above Olive Garden (thankfully) but couldn't reach the bar of Carlucci's The pasta did taste hand made (a plus) but the flavors of the sauces and the skimping on the cheese on the parmigiana were disappointing. Lots of salt. Chef is quite liberal with salting everything thoroughly. I do enjoy having a salad option with meal and of course bread is a must when eating Italian, but none was not offered. We were full, as the servings are plentiful - but sadly left no room for dessert. Vecchia is BYOB, but as others sat around us, it seemed as though "complementary" house wine was provided if asked. (Perhaps perks of being a regular) Would I return, perhaps, but also so many places to try it may be some time before we make it back.
